FULL SCALA TEST OF THE TURBINE.

(29.04.2016)
Picture
The full scale testing of the turbine was carried out in Klaipeda, Lithuania, in April 2016. We used our installation barge to secure control of the test conditions needed for evaluating the performance of the turbine.

The turbine was installed in the barge and put into the water. A tugboat was connected to the barge and pushed the test installation in speeds between 2 – 7 knots (1 – 3.5 m/s).
The data showed that the measured outputs of the full scale performance tests were within the range indicated by the theoretically calculated values. The next steps will be to optimize the design before we sell and install the first turbines.
